Artist's Description
Allah - ayat al-kursi. The word God written in black paint. The interior of the word Allah reads ayat al-kursi or a single verse from the Quran that is called 'the Greatest Verse'. The meaning of the verse is "There is no one worthy of worship except God, the Living, the Eternal. Neither sleep nor slumber takes over Him.Everything in the Heavens and the Earth belongs to Him. No one can intercede in His presence except with His permission. He knows what is in front and what is behind them. Their knowledge cannot comprehend God except that which He permits. His throne is spread between the heavens and the earth. It is not overbearing for Him to protect them. He is the most high and the greatest."
